Kevin Mullen became a bookseller in February 1993, after terminating a two and onehalf year career in the environmental consulting field. Prior to that, he spent five years in the land surveying business in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. He would probably still be doing this if there had been no serious slump in the real estate market in late 1988. He received his B.S. from Marietta College in Ohio in 1984, with an emphasis on petroleum Geology. Prior to college, he spent a year in the wholesale nursery business after graduating from Pingry School in Hillside now Martinsville, New Jersey.
